Straits Ledger is hiring a QA engineer in Singapore. Quality here is an engineering job, not a gate at the end of one. You will build and own the automated suites that let the team release confidently, and you will still do the exploratory testing that automation is bad at.
Singapore job advertisements quote a MONTHLY figure and this one follows that convention. The annual wage supplement and any performance bonus sit on top of the range below rather than inside it.
Expect a mix of writing end-to-end and API tests, keeping the suite fast and free of flakiness, and working with engineers on testability before a feature is built rather than after. When something reaches production broken, you lead the look at why the tests did not catch it. The role is on-site in Singapore, which is where the team and most of our customers are.
This is a mid-level role. You should already be able to take a loosely specified problem, break it down and ship it without close supervision. We want someone who can read the application code, write a precise and reproducible bug report, and argue for the test that should exist rather than the twenty that should not. Experience wiring tests into CI is essential.
We are an Employment Pass sponsor and will support a move for the right candidate; the team keeps Singapore hours with real flexibility around them. The range shown is a MONTHLY figure, which is how this market advertises salaries — it is not an annual number.
Straits Ledger gives South-East Asian companies one treasury view across half a dozen banks and four currencies: balances, forecasting, FX exposure and the approval trail auditors ask for. Our customers are finance teams of eight people running a business in six countries.
The interesting engineering is in reconciliation. Bank feeds arrive late, out of order and occasionally contradict each other, and a treasury dashboard that is confidently wrong is worse than no dashboard at all.
We work from a floor in Tanjong Pagar, Singapore. Salaries are advertised monthly as is standard here, and we sponsor Employment Passes for the right candidate.
