About Galvix Galvix is a managed sales tax compliance service for mid-market and enterprise companies in the US. The company connects to customer ERPs or billing systems to handle indirect tax obligations including determination, registrations, exemption certificates, return filing, and notice resolution. The platform uses proprietary software and AI for volume work, with specialists catching exceptions.
This is a 100% remote, work-from-home role based in India, working 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM IST.
The Role Portfolio management of US customers from onboarding through steady-state monthly filing. Operates a system by configuring it correctly, reviewing outputs, spotting discrepancies, diagnosing issues, and fixing root causes.
What You'll Do
- Onboarding: Run discovery calls, map ERP/billing systems, configure nexus profiles, taxability mapping, filing calendars, entity setup, reconcile historical data, handle state registrations
- Ongoing oversight: Review monthly filings, investigate discrepancies, triage alerts, diagnose root causes, manage exemption certificates, work state portals
- Customer communication: Primary contact for accounts, proactively surface problems, explain tax outcomes
- Improving the system: Provide feedback on manual exceptions to shape platform development
Must Have
- Availability to work 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM IST, fully remote with quiet space, reliable internet, good laptop, quality camera/microphone
- 3+ years in audit, tax, accounting operations, financial reporting, or ERP/financial systems
- Excellent written and verbal English communication
- Strong numerical ability and logical reasoning
- Sharp observation skills
- Investigative persistence
- Comfort with software, data, multiple systems, spreadsheets
- Willingness to perform unglamorous work
Nice to Have CA, CPA, CFA or CMA certification. US taxation experience. Hands-on experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, Zoho, or Stripe Billing. Exposure to Avalara, Vertex, TaxJar platforms. SQL or query-building comfort.
