Terms & Conditions

These are the terms you agree to by using MailerMen. They are deliberately short and in plain English — terms nobody can read protect nobody.

1. The agreement

This website is operated by MailerMen, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (“we”, “us”, MailerMen). By using the site — browsing it, creating an account, applying for a job or sending us an enquiry — you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Our Privacy Policy forms part of these terms and explains what we do with your personal data.

2. What this site is — and is not

MailerMen is a job board. We publish roles advertised by employers and pass your application on to them. That is the extent of it.

We are not an employer, a recruiter or an employment agency. We do not take part in hiring decisions, interviews, offers, contracts, salaries or anything that happens after an employer receives your application. We are not a party to any arrangement you reach with an employer, and we cannot make one honour it.

We check listings before publishing them and remove any we find to be false. That is a genuine effort in good faith, not a guarantee: we cannot verify every claim an employer makes about a role, and we do not warrant that any listing is accurate, current, or that the position is still open.

3. Nobody should ever ask you to pay

Using MailerMen as a job seeker is free. We will never ask you for money, and no legitimate employer will either.

If anyone contacts you about a role found here and asks for a registration fee, a security deposit, training costs, a payment for a visa or laptop, or your banking, card, UPI or one-time-password details, it is a scam. Do not pay and do not send the details. Report it to support@mailermen.com and we will take the listing down the same day.

We never ask for your password, and we will never phone you to request a code sent to your device.

4. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to work to hold an account. The details you give us must be true and yours — an account in someone else’s name, or a CV describing experience you do not have, is a breach of these terms.

You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it. You can close your account whenever you like.

5. Applying for a job

When you apply, the details on that application — including your CV and any links you attach — are sent to the employer. This cannot be undone once sent, in the same way an email cannot be unsent. Section 4 of our Privacy Policy sets out exactly what they receive and what they do not.

You keep ownership of everything you upload. By uploading it you give us permission to store it and to pass it to the employers you apply to, which is what makes an application work. We do not sell it, publish it, or hand it to anyone else.

Do not upload anything that is not yours to share, and do not include other people’s personal data in your CV without their agreement.

6. If you post a role

By advertising a job with us you confirm that:

  • The role is real, currently open, and you are authorised to advertise it.
  • The description, location, salary and requirements are accurate, and you will tell us when the role closes.
  • You will not charge a candidate any fee for applying, being considered, or being hired.
  • The listing complies with the employment and anti-discrimination law of the country it is in, and does not exclude applicants on grounds such as caste, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, race, or marital status.
  • You will use candidate data only to consider that candidate for that role, and will handle it in line with the applicable data protection law.

We may edit a listing for clarity, formatting or category, and we may decline or remove any listing at our discretion — including one that has been paid for, in which case we will refund the unused portion.

7. What you must not do

  • Scrape, crawl, copy or bulk-download the listings or the company directory.
  • Use the site to collect people’s contact details, or to send anyone marketing they did not ask for.
  • Post anything false, misleading, unlawful, abusive or infringing.
  • Attempt to break, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site, its API or anyone else’s account.
  • Impersonate another person or company, or misrepresent your connection to one.
  • Interfere with the advertising the site depends on to stay free.

We may suspend or close an account, and remove content, where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.

8. Our content and yours

The site itself — its design, code, text, logo and the name MailerMen — belongs to us and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may read and share links to it, but you may not copy or reuse it commercially without our written permission.

Job listings belong to the employers who wrote them. Your CV and profile belong to you. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of either to us.

9. Links, ads and other sites

The site links out to employer websites and shows advertising from third-party networks. We do not control any of it and we are not responsible for what those sites do, what they contain, or what happens if you buy something from them. Their terms and privacy policies apply once you leave, and following an external link is at your own risk.

10. Availability

We aim to keep the site running, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption or free of faults. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, and we may stop publishing a listing at any time.

11. Liability

The site is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties that are not expressly set out in these terms.

We are not liable for a job that turns out not to exist, an employer who does not reply, an offer that is withdrawn, income you did not earn, an opportunity you missed, or any loss that was not a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms. Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which for a job seeker is nothing.

None of this excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for our own fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

12. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of content you posted or because you used the site in breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and legal costs in dealing with it.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top of the page moves when the text does — by hand, not on every deploy — and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. For a change that materially affects you, we will do more than move a date.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your own country.

If any clause here is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
