Halcyon Data is hiring a sales professional on a fully remote basis. You will sell a technical product to people who will evaluate it themselves before they ever take a call. That changes the job: discovery is genuine, the demo has to be honest, and a deal that should not close is better lost early.
The US market for this role is deep and well paid, and candidates rightly compare offers carefully. The band below is the real band — we do not hold a number back for whoever negotiates hardest.
Expect a full cycle: sourcing alongside inbound, discovery, technical evaluation with a solutions engineer, commercials and close. You will keep the CRM accurate because forecasting depends on it, and you will bring product feedback back in a form engineering can use. The role is fully remote within United States, with a desk in the office for anyone who would rather not work from home.
This is a mid-level role. You should already be able to take a loosely specified problem, break it down and ship it without close supervision. We are looking for evidence — quota attainment, deal sizes, cycle length and the segments you have genuinely sold into. Written communication matters as much as calling now that most first touches happen by email.
Core hours are set by the team rather than by the company, and we are deliberate about protecting long stretches of focus time. The range shown is the annual gross salary band for this role.
Halcyon Data runs the warehouse and streaming layer for consumer subscription businesses that have outgrown a spreadsheet but do not want to hire a data platform team. We ingest events, model them into something analysts can trust, and answer questions about churn and lifetime value that used to take a quarter.
Correctness matters more than throughput here. A pipeline that is fast and quietly wrong costs a customer a board meeting, so we invest heavily in lineage, replay and the unglamorous work of handling late and duplicated records.
We are headquartered in Manhattan with engineering in Seattle and an APAC team in Sydney that owns follow-the-sun on-call.
