Frontend Developer, Terminal Console
About the role
Delta Freight Cloud is hiring a frontend developer in Rotterdam. Frontend here means everything a user actually touches: layout, interaction, accessibility and how fast the first useful pixel arrives. It is measured work — we watch real-user metrics, not a lab score from a fast laptop on office wifi.
Dutch offers are quoted as an annual gross figure with the 8% holiday allowance normally paid on top, and the 30% ruling may apply if you are relocating.
What the work actually looks like
You will build and maintain the interfaces our customers spend their working day inside, work through interaction detail with design rather than receiving it finished, and keep the bundle and the render cost inside an agreed budget release after release. Accessibility is part of the definition of done, not a later audit. The team works a hybrid week out of Rotterdam, usually three days together and the rest wherever you work best.
What we look for
This is a mid-level role. You should already be able to take a loosely specified problem, break it down and ship it without close supervision. Strong HTML and CSS still beat framework trivia in this loop. We are looking for someone who reaches for a semantic element before a div, knows what a screen reader does with their markup, and can tell you what actually made a page slow.
Working at Delta Freight Cloud
A four-day week is a normal request here rather than an unusual one, and genuine part-time contracts are available for this role. The range shown is the annual gross salary band for this role.

Delta Freight Cloud
Delta Freight Cloud plans container movements between the Port of Rotterdam and inland terminals across the Rhine corridor. Our software decides which barge, which train and which truck, and it is measured on empty kilometres removed rather than on features shipped.
The data is messy in ways only physical logistics can be: a vessel arrives eleven hours late, a terminal closes a gate, a customs message never lands. Handling that gracefully is most of the product.
We are based near Rotterdam Centraal with a small team in Utrecht. A four-day week is a normal request here rather than an unusual one.
