By the time you finish, you will have taken one of our services from a hand deployed container to a self healing workload with autoscaling and health probes that actually work. That is the arc of this six month internship, based in our Bengaluru office on a hybrid week.

The path through it

The first month is learning by breaking things in the sandbox cluster: deployments, services, ingress, and why a pod sits stuck in CrashLoopBackOff. From month two you take ownership of our internal analytics worker, containerise it properly, write its manifests, set resource requests that are honest rather than optimistic, and put it behind horizontal pod autoscaling. Later you help with cluster upgrades and node pool changes under supervision.

Support and review

You get a named mentor, a weekly one to one, and access to every incident channel so you can watch how experienced engineers reason under pressure. Nothing you write reaches production without review, and nothing gets reviewed unkindly.

Who we are hiring

A final year student or recent graduate with Linux comfort, working Docker knowledge, and the habit of reading error messages instead of skimming them. Kubernetes on your resume is a bonus, never a filter. Bring the curiosity and we will handle the rest.

Responsibilities

  • Learn cluster behaviour by deliberately breaking and repairing workloads in the sandbox
  • Containerise the internal analytics worker and write its Kubernetes manifests
  • Set honest resource requests and limits based on observed usage rather than guesses
  • Configure liveness and readiness probes plus horizontal pod autoscaling
  • Assist with node pool changes and cluster version upgrades under supervision
  • Keep the deployment runbook accurate as the setup evolves

Requirements

  • Final year student or recent graduate with a genuine interest in infrastructure
  • Comfortable with Linux commands and reading system logs
  • Working knowledge of Docker images, volumes and container networking basics
  • Willing to work a hybrid week from the Bengaluru office
  • Reads error messages properly instead of guessing at the cause

Skills

Benefits

  • Monthly stipend with a review at the halfway mark
  • Named mentor and a weekly one to one that actually happens
  • Access to incident channels so you learn from real outages
  • Certificate and reference letter at the end of the six months
  • Conversion to a full time platform role for the right person
