About the role

Vistula Software House is hiring a React developer in Warsaw. You will work on a production React codebase that paying customers open every day, not a greenfield prototype. The team cares about component boundaries that survive a year of feature work, state that is easy to reason about a month later, and pages that stay quick on hardware nobody would call new.

Polish technology salaries are quoted MONTHLY, and both employment contracts and B2B arrangements are normal here. The range below is monthly gross under an employment contract; a B2B equivalent can be discussed.

What the work actually looks like

A typical fortnight mixes feature work with tightening interaction detail alongside design and paying down the parts of the component tree that have grown awkward. You will review pull requests, write the tests that keep the shared components honest, and profile a screen properly when the numbers say one has slowed down rather than guessing at it. The team works a hybrid week out of Warsaw, usually three days together and the rest wherever you work best.

What we look for

This is a mid-level role. You should already be able to take a loosely specified problem, break it down and ship it without close supervision. We are looking for real depth in JavaScript rather than a memorised set of framework recipes — someone who can explain why a component re-rendered and what they would do about it. Experience with a component testing library and a shared design system is a strong signal.

Working at Vistula Software House

The team works Central European hours with a hybrid week, and English is the working language of engineering. The range shown is a MONTHLY figure, which is how this market advertises salaries — it is not an annual number.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain customer-facing React features from component design to production behaviour
  • Keep the shared component library documented, tested and pleasant for the rest of the team to use
  • Work with design on interaction detail rather than implementing finished mockups
  • Catch rendering and bundle-size regressions before they reach users
  • Review pull requests and hold the front-end quality bar for the team

Requirements

  • Production experience with React in a codebase other people also maintain
  • Strong JavaScript fundamentals: closures, the event loop, module semantics
  • Comfortable writing component and integration tests
  • Confident with modern CSS, semantic HTML and accessible markup
  • Able to read a performance trace and act on what it shows

Skills

Benefits

  • Monthly gross salary under an employment contract, B2B negotiable
  • Private medical care and a Multisport card
  • 26 days of paid leave
  • A hardware budget you choose from
