That is the gap you fill. Our Friday send goes out to students and early-career candidates, and for the past few months it has been written in a hurry by whoever happened to have an hour free. Across three months you take it over properly and give it a voice.
Scope
Two blog posts a month plus the weekly send. You pick the angle, interview one intern or hiring manager for each issue, write it up, and choose the subject line. The strongest sections get repurposed into LinkedIn posts and short scripts for our video team, so a single interview ends up doing three jobs. Open rates, click maps and reply volume are your scoreboard, and you will read them every Monday.
What you get out of it
The role carries no stipend, which we would rather state plainly at the top than let you discover halfway through applying. In return you get a masthead byline, complete editorial control over one channel, and an editor who will teach you structure instead of quietly fixing your commas and saying nothing.
Responsibilities
- Write and send the Friday newsletter every week for three months
- Interview one intern or hiring manager for each issue
- Publish two long-form posts a month on the careers blog
- Choose and test subject lines, then report on open and click behaviour
- Repurpose each interview into LinkedIn posts and short video scripts
- Keep a running content calendar the rest of the team can see
Requirements
- Student or recent graduate who writes regularly, professionally or otherwise
- Comfortable interviewing strangers over a video call
- Able to hold a weekly deadline without being chased for it
- Basic familiarity with any publishing tool such as WordPress or Ghost
- Available for two editorial calls a week during IST hours
