About the role

Northwind Systems is hiring a recruiter in Toronto, ON. Recruiting here is a craft role with real ownership: you run the process, you write the outreach, and you have a say in the hiring bar rather than only scheduling around it. Candidate experience is treated as a product with users.

We pay one Canadian band rather than adjusting by city, so a candidate in Halifax and a candidate in Toronto see the same number for the same work.

What the work actually looks like

The work is sourcing and outreach that people actually reply to, running structured interview loops, and keeping the process fast enough that good candidates do not go cold. You will also do the unglamorous parts well: scheduling, feedback chasing and clear, prompt rejections. The team works a hybrid week out of Toronto, ON, usually three days together and the rest wherever you work best.

What we look for

This is a mid-level role. You should already be able to take a loosely specified problem, break it down and ship it without close supervision. We are looking for someone who understands what the roles they hire for actually involve, writes well, and holds a hiring manager to the standard the process promised. Data literacy about your own funnel is expected.

Working at Northwind Systems

The team spans Eastern and Pacific time with a fixed four-hour overlap, and meetings are kept inside it. The range shown is the annual gross salary band for this role.
