Interaction Design and Prototyping Internship
Motion is the brief
Static mockups stop being useful the moment a screen has to respond to something. This six month internship is for someone who wants to live in the part of design where timing, easing and state changes decide whether an interface feels trustworthy.
What you will prototype
Your first project is the resume builder: a multi step flow where the preview updates as you type, sections reorder by drag, and an autosave indicator has to reassure without nagging. You will build the high fidelity prototype in Figma, then rebuild the trickiest interactions in Framer or ProtoPie so engineering has something precise to match.
After that comes the recruiter inbox, where bulk selection, undo and optimistic updates all need interaction specs written by a human who thought about the failure cases.
Logistics
The team is distributed, so this role is open worldwide and runs on written communication. You will post a Loom walkthrough of your work every Friday and join two live critiques a week in a window that overlaps Indian hours. The stipend is paid monthly in INR. If you are graduating this year and your favourite part of any project is the part where it starts moving, apply.
Responsibilities
- Prototype the resume builder flow including live preview, drag reordering and autosave feedback
- Rebuild the hardest interactions in Framer or ProtoPie so engineering has an exact reference
- Write interaction specs covering timing, easing and every intermediate state
- Design bulk selection, undo and optimistic update behaviour for the recruiter inbox
- Post a weekly Loom walkthrough of your work for the distributed team
- Join two live critiques a week during hours that overlap India
Requirements
- Final year student or recent graduate, based anywhere in the world
- Fluent in Figma prototyping including variables and conditional logic
- Some exposure to a motion or advanced prototyping tool, self taught is fine
- Strong written communication, since this team runs asynchronously
- No professional experience required
Skills
Benefits
- Monthly stipend paid in INR regardless of where you live
- Fully remote with only two fixed meetings a week
- A motion and interaction case study built on a shipped product
- Written feedback from an interaction designer every Friday
