Starting point

Micro interactions are the difference between a form that feels responsive and one that feels broken, and ours are mostly missing. During this two month internship you will design the small moments across MailerMen: what happens while a resume uploads, how a saved job confirms itself, what a failed payment looks like before the user panics.

The work

You will map the states of eight core flows, then prototype the transitions in Figma with smart animate and interactive components. From that you write a specification describing timing, easing and a fallback for anyone who has reduced motion switched on. You will also redesign our empty states and error screens, which at the moment say very little that helps.

How you will learn

Fortnightly critique with the product design lead, a seat in engineering standup twice a week, and honest feedback rather than polite feedback. Two days a week from our Delhi NCR workspace.

Because this internship is unpaid we keep the weekly commitment light and the learning dense. You finish with a documented motion specification for your portfolio and a real understanding of how interface feedback builds trust. Open to final year students and recent graduates only.

Responsibilities

  • Map every state of eight core flows, including loading, success, failure and offline
  • Prototype transitions in Figma using smart animate and interactive components
  • Write a motion specification covering timing, easing and reduced motion fallbacks
  • Redesign the empty states and error screens across the candidate experience
  • Sit in engineering standup twice a week and check implementations against your spec
  • Take part in fortnightly critique and revise your work from what you hear

Requirements

  • Final year student or recent graduate with an interest in how interfaces behave
  • Basic Figma skills, including prototype links and components
  • Curiosity about motion and timing, shown through any personal experiment
  • Available two days a week at our Delhi NCR workspace
  • No professional experience needed
