Where we are
Interface copy is design work, and ours reads like four different people wrote it in a hurry. Buttons say Submit, Send and Go on three neighbouring screens. This two month internship exists to give MailerMen one voice and clearer screens to put it on.
The assignment
You will write and design together rather than one after the other. Expect to rework the onboarding sequence, the empty states, the seventeen error messages currently sitting in production, and the emails a candidate receives once they apply. Each rewrite goes back into Figma so the layout adapts to the new words instead of fighting them. Alongside that you will draft a short voice and tone guide with concrete examples of what we say and what we never say.
Working style
Fully remote inside India, asynchronous by default, with two live critiques each week and written feedback in between. You present the finished voice guide to the founders in your final week.
This suits a final year student or recent graduate who reads widely and cares about the gap between clear and clever. Send writing samples of any kind, including a blog nobody reads. We would rather see how you think than a formal CV.
