Support agents spend their entire working day inside an admin console that engineers built quickly and then stopped looking at. You are the person who is going to look at it.

Two months, one tight scope

This is a short internship, so the brief is deliberately narrow. You will work through the admin API behind that console, a Spring Boot service with about thirty endpoints, several returning misleading HTTP status codes and none of them paginating. You will add pagination and filtering to account search, build an audit trail that records who performed each support action and why, and delete the two endpoints nothing has called since last year.

Sitting with the people who use it

One morning a week you are on the support floor in our Bengaluru office, watching agents use what you built. It is the fastest feedback loop in the company and it will permanently change how you design an API. Most engineers do not get that until several years in.

What you need to bring

A final-year student or recent graduate with working Java, some exposure to Spring Boot or any web framework, and real interest in why software annoys the people stuck with it.

Responsibilities

  • Add pagination and filtering to the admin account search API
  • Correct endpoints that return misleading HTTP status codes
  • Build an audit trail recording who performed each support action and why
  • Retire dead endpoints after confirming nothing in the estate calls them
  • Spend one morning a week with support agents and turn what you observe into tickets

Requirements

  • Final-year student or recent graduate; no professional experience required
  • Working Java plus some exposure to Spring Boot or another web framework
  • Basic understanding of REST conventions and HTTP status codes
  • Able to attend our Bengaluru office on a hybrid schedule

Skills

Benefits

  • Monthly stipend across both months of the internship
  • Weekly contact with the people who actually use your software
  • A short, well-scoped project you can finish and demonstrate
  • Internship certificate issued on completion
