The brief

Every Monday our operations lead exports six spreadsheets by hand and stitches them into a single report on hiring activity. Your job across these three months is to make that ritual unnecessary. You will write the stored procedures behind it, build a small ASP.NET Core service to schedule and archive them, and publish a clean set of views anyone can query without knowing our schema. Along the way you pick up real T-SQL rather than textbook T-SQL: window functions, indexed views, and the discipline of reading a query plan before you ship. Dapper handles whatever is too gnarly for Entity Framework, and you write the plain language documentation explaining each metric to the people who read it.

Being upfront about the terms

This position is unpaid and we would rather say so at the top than bury it three screens down. What is on offer instead is a named mentor, two scheduled code reviews every week, and a portfolio piece with real numbers attached. You sit with the operations team twice a week in our Delhi NCR office, which means you hear directly from the people whose Monday morning you just handed back to them.

Responsibilities

  • Replace the manual weekly hiring report with scheduled stored procedures
  • Design a set of read-only SQL views the operations team can query directly
  • Build a lightweight ASP.NET Core service that runs and archives each report
  • Use Dapper for the queries too complex to express cleanly through EF Core
  • Write plain language documentation for every metric you publish
  • Validate each new report against the existing spreadsheet before switching over

Requirements

  • Final year student or fresh graduate comfortable with SELECT, JOIN and GROUP BY
  • Some exposure to C# through coursework or personal projects
  • Careful about correctness, since a wrong number is worse than no number
  • Able to attend our Delhi NCR office twice a week

Benefits

  • Certificate + Letter of Recommendation
