Start with the complaint

Ask any engineer here what slows them down and you get the same answer: setting up a local environment takes half a day, and staging is a queue. This three month internship, open to applicants anywhere in the world, is about fixing the developer experience rather than the product itself.

What you will ship, and how we work

The centrepiece is ephemeral preview environments. You will build a workflow that spins up a namespaced deployment for each pull request, seeds it with anonymised sample data, posts the URL back to the PR, and tears it down on merge. Alongside that you will package a one command local setup using Docker Compose and a Makefile, add a small CLI that wraps the twelve commands people currently copy from a wiki page, and measure whether any of it helped by timing onboarding for the next new joiner.

We run asynchronously across time zones, so clear written updates matter more than being online at a particular hour. You should be finishing a degree or recently done, comfortable with Git and containers, and interested in the tools other developers use. No previous employment in the field is expected.
