MailerMen is hiring a Backend Developer for our Bhubaneswar team. You will build reliable APIs, services and database-driven features, working closely with frontend developers and product teams to deliver secure, scalable backend systems. You will bring roughly two years of hands-on experience and help mentor newer team members. This is a hybrid role anchored to our Bhubaneswar office, with a mix of in-office and remote days.
Department: Engineering - Backend Working hours: 10:00 AM–7:00 PM IST, Monday–Friday
Responsibilities
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Implement authentication, authorization and application security practices.
- Contribute to API documentation and internal developer guides.
- Design database schemas, queries and data-access logic.
- Write clean, maintainable and tested backend code.
- Support background jobs, queues and scheduled tasks.
- Debug production issues and improve application performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related technical field preferred.
- Good to have: Prisma, Redis, NestJS, Nginx, TypeScript, Docker
