Our employer dashboard takes 4.1 seconds to become interactive on a mid-range Android phone over 4G. Your job, across these two months, is to make that number embarrassing to look back on.
You start by profiling the existing Vite build, reading the bundle analyser output, and identifying the three dependencies responsible for most of the JavaScript we ship. Then comes route level code splitting, swapping a heavyweight charting library for something lighter, deferring the analytics script, and hunting down the re-render storms a badly memoised context provider keeps causing. You will finish by setting up a Lighthouse CI budget so nobody quietly undoes your work three sprints later.
This internship is unpaid, and we would rather state that plainly than bury it. What it offers is a narrow, measurable problem with before and after numbers you can put in front of any future interviewer, plus a weekly working session with the engineer who owns our performance budget. You will be in the Gurugram office two days a week and remote otherwise. If you have ever opened a flame graph out of curiosity rather than obligation, this will suit you.
MailerMen runs a verified job board covering startup and product roles across twelve markets, and takes on interns across engineering, data, design and marketing to build it.
