Responsive Web Design Intern (CSS + Layout)

Roughly three quarters of the traffic to our job listings arrives on a phone, often on a patchy connection in a college hostel. Layout is not a cosmetic concern for us, it is the product.

What three months looks like

You will take desktop first pages and rework them into fluid layouts that hold together from a 320px screen up to a 27 inch monitor. That means real work with CSS Grid, container queries, clamp() based type scales, and a disciplined approach to breakpoints instead of scattering media queries wherever something breaks. You will also help retire the last floated layouts and the jQuery plugins keeping them upright.

Working remotely

The team is spread across India and runs mostly asynchronously. You post your standup in a thread, you get design feedback over recorded video, and you are expected to read the codebase before pinging anyone. Two live calls a week, both in the afternoon, and nothing scheduled before eleven.

Who tends to do well here

Students who have already built something for themselves, a college fest site, a portfolio, a careful clone of a landing page they admired, and who genuinely notice when the spacing is wrong. Formal work history is not part of the picture at all.
