Backlinks do not arrive by accident. Somebody has to find the right person, give them a reason to care, and follow up twice without becoming annoying. For the next two months that somebody is you.
You build prospect lists of college placement blogs, career counsellors, student communities and regional news desks that cover employment. You pitch our original data, chiefly the fresher hiring survey we run each quarter, because a statistic travels much further than a request for a link. You write outreach emails that are short and specific, track every thread in the CRM, and learn to read a rejection for the information it contains.
Most of what you send gets ignored. The skill is lifting the hit rate week over week, and you will watch your own numbers move in either direction. Alongside outreach you audit our existing backlink profile in Ahrefs and clear out the junk an old agency left behind.
This is an unpaid, fully remote position with structured weekly mentoring on technique. It suits someone stubborn and polite in roughly equal measure, and it teaches a skill that transfers to any marketing job you take next.
MailerMen runs a verified job board covering startup and product roles across twelve markets, and takes on interns across engineering, data, design and marketing to build it.
