Most internal dashboards die of neglect because nobody can tell what they are for. Over two months you will build a small number of dashboards that survive. You will be in our Indiranagar office two days a week, sitting next to the design team rather than tucked away with engineering.
The first three weeks go into the founder dashboard: one screen, six numbers, no scrolling, refreshed every morning before 9am. After that you take the recruiter facing analytics page, currently four unlabelled bar charts, and redesign it so an employer can tell in ten seconds whether their posting is performing. You pick the palette, write the chart titles, and sit in on two user interviews where you will hear people misread your first draft.
An opinion about axis labels. Enough SQL to pull your own data instead of queuing behind an analyst. Exposure to Metabase, Power BI, Tableau or even matplotlib is plenty. This internship is unpaid and short, so the scope stays realistic and the feedback stays frequent. Final year students and recent graduates are equally welcome.
MailerMen runs a verified job board covering startup and product roles across twelve markets, and takes on interns across engineering, data, design and marketing to build it.
