MailerMen's candidate dashboard has grown faster than its design language. Three different button styles, two spacing scales, and a colour ramp nobody can explain. Over this six month internship you will help fix that.
You start with an inventory of every component scattered across our Figma files, then rebuild the survivors as proper variants with auto layout and sensible naming. Once buttons, inputs, form fields and cards are stable, you move on to the application tracker screens, which are the most used part of the product and the least designed. Expect to hand off specs to two frontend engineers and to sit in the standups where your tokens turn into CSS variables.
Our lead designer reviews your files twice a week, in writing first so you have something to reread, then live. You will present one component of your choosing to the whole product team each month, which is uncomfortable the first time and useful every time after. By the end you will have a documented library that other designers open daily, plus a portfolio case study built on a real product with real usage numbers behind it.
MailerMen runs a verified job board covering startup and product roles across twelve markets, and takes on interns across engineering, data, design and marketing to build it.
