Two thirds of MailerMen traffic arrives on a phone, and our mobile experience is still a squeezed version of the desktop site. Fixing that is a three month project, and it is yours.
You will redesign the job search flow for small screens: the filter sheet, the results list, the job detail page and the one tap apply action. That means real decisions about what gets cut, where thumbs actually land, and how a filter panel behaves when someone has selected nine things and wants to see all of them. You will prototype each flow in Figma, test it on borrowed phones with five or six real jobseekers, and revise before anything reaches engineering.
Alongside the search work you will design the push notification states for application updates, including the empty, error and stale cases that usually get forgotten.
Weekly critique with the product design lead, direct Slack access to the two React Native engineers building your screens, and a shipped mobile flow you can talk about in interviews. Freshers are genuinely welcome here. We care that you can defend a layout decision, not that you have done this before.
MailerMen runs a verified job board covering startup and product roles across twelve markets, and takes on interns across engineering, data, design and marketing to build it.
