Multimodal Prompting Intern

Job posters upload screenshots, PDFs and the occasional photograph of a printed notice, and something has to turn all of that into a structured listing.
Three months on the vision side
You will prompt multimodal models to read an uploaded poster and return clean JSON with title, location, stipend and deadline, then deal with everything that goes wrong. Rotated scans. Hindi and English mixed inside one document. Tables that are really images. Stipend figures written in lakhs. Your target is field level accuracy on a test set of six hundred real uploads, and you will build that test set yourself in the first fortnight. Labelling is less glamorous than prompting and it matters more, which is a lesson worth learning early.
How the role runs
Fully remote within India, with a short daily check in and a longer Thursday review. You will have access to vision models from both OpenAI and Anthropic and an experiment budget you can spend without asking permission each time. The cycle after that is steady: measure, change one variable, measure again, and keep a record of both.
Responsibilities
- Prompt multimodal models to extract structured job data from images and PDF uploads
- Build and label a test set of six hundred real uploaded documents
- Measure field level extraction accuracy and track it release over release
- Handle rotated scans, mixed Hindi and English text, and figures written in lakhs
- Design JSON output schemas and validation that catches malformed extractions
- Run controlled experiments that change one prompt variable at a time
Requirements
- Final year student or recent graduate with no industry experience expected
- Python, including reading and writing JSON and working with image files
- Reading comfort in both Hindi and English, which helps with our document set
- Methodical habits: you change one thing at a time and record the outcome
- Available for a short daily check in during Indian working hours
