Numbers persuade nobody on their own. Somebody has to shape them into something a busy founder will read in ninety seconds, and for three months that somebody is you.
A monthly hiring trends report for Indian startups, built from our own posting and application data and published on the MailerMen blog under your byline. You will pull the data in SQL, shape it in Excel or Google Sheets, and design charts that survive being screenshotted into a LinkedIn post. Topics might include median time to first application by role, which cities are hiring backend engineers fastest, or how long a data role stays open before it fills.
You will get direct feedback on chart choice, on axis honesty, on colour, and on the difference between a chart that is pretty and a chart that is clear. Expect drafts to come back marked up. Expect to argue about whether that really should have been a bar chart.
Someone in a final year or fresh out of a degree who already enjoys making things legible. Strong Excel, willingness to reach an intermediate level of SQL, and an eye you can defend in a review.
MailerMen runs a verified job board covering startup and product roles across twelve markets, and takes on interns across engineering, data, design and marketing to build it.
