A design system is only useful if somebody maintains it. That is a genuine part of this role: building reusable components in Figma, keeping naming and structure predictable, and making sure a new screen can be assembled from pieces that already exist instead of being drawn from scratch every time.
The product is MailerMen's job board, which means plenty of repeating patterns, cards, forms, filters and listing layouts, and plenty of value in getting each of those right once. Alongside the systems work there is still original design to do: new flows, prototypes to pressure-test them, and high-fidelity screens for desktop and mobile.
This is an onsite, full-time position in Surat. It suits a designer with roughly two to four years behind them who has felt the pain of an inconsistent file and would like the authority to fix it properly.
Responsibilities
- Create wireframes and user flows.
- Design high-fidelity web and application interfaces.
- Create interactive prototypes in Figma.
- Develop reusable design components.
- Maintain design systems.
- Design responsive interfaces for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Translate product requirements into user-friendly designs.
- Collaborate with developers during implementation.
- Provide developer-ready design handoffs.
- Review implemented designs and provide visual feedback.
- Research and apply modern UI/UX design practices.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of professional UI/UX or product design experience.
- Strong hands-on Figma experience.
- Strong understanding of typography, spacing, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience with wireframing and prototyping.
- Understanding of responsive design.
- Experience creating design systems and reusable components.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
