C# and Entity Framework Core Developer Intern

Why this role exists

Our recruiter dashboard was built in a hurry and the data layer shows it. Queries sit inline in the controllers, the same employer lookup appears in eleven places, and nobody quite trusts the reporting numbers. Over three months you will help us untangle that.

The work itself

You will move raw ADO.NET calls into a proper Entity Framework Core repository layer, one module at a time, starting with employer profiles because that table is the smallest and the mistakes are cheapest there. Each refactor ships with a before and after query count so the improvement is visible rather than claimed. Later you build the saved search feature, which lets recruiters store a filter combination and receive a daily digest of matching candidates.

How you will be supported

This is a fully remote role, so mentorship here is deliberate rather than accidental. You get a scheduled pairing session twice a week, a written review on every pull request, and a Friday demo where you show the engineering group what you shipped. Questions in the team channel get answered.
