Our backend carries around 900 xUnit tests and roughly a third of them are slow, flaky, or quietly testing the framework instead of our code. Over this two-month internship you will work through that list with the QA lead, deleting what is worthless and rewriting what is salvageable. You will write integration tests against a real SQL Server instance spun up in Testcontainers, add Playwright coverage for the four candidate flows that break most often (signup, apply, resume upload and saved jobs), and wire the suite into GitHub Actions so a red build actually blocks a merge. If you finish early, the fuzz tests for our file upload endpoint have been waiting a year.
It is a short term, so we do not waste any of it. You will be writing tests in your first week rather than reading wiki pages, and you will report suite runtime and flake rate to the team each Friday. Three days a week are in our Mumbai office and the other two are yours. At the end you get a written assessment honest enough to be worth quoting, plus an open invitation to apply for a longer stint with the same team.
