Frontend Web Developer Intern (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

MailerMen's public site gets around 40,000 visits a month from students hunting for their first role, and almost every one of those pages is hand built in semantic HTML and vanilla JavaScript. You will be working on it directly.
The work itself
Over six months you will rebuild the job search page: the filter sidebar, the sticky result cards, and the empty states nobody thinks about until a search returns nothing. Expect to write a lot of CSS Grid, argue about naming, and ship small pull requests several times a week. Later in the internship you will own the employer profile template end to end, from the Figma handoff to the live page.
How you will learn
You sit with two frontend engineers in our Koramangala office three days a week. Code review here is thorough and kind. Nobody expects you to arrive knowing how to rebase cleanly or what a CSS containing block is. We expect you to be curious, to read the error before pasting it into a chat, and to ask rather than guess.
What you take away
By the end you will have a set of real, publicly indexed pages with your commits behind them, plus a working sense of how a small product team decides what to build next.
Responsibilities
- Rebuild the job search page in semantic HTML and CSS Grid, including the filter sidebar and sticky result cards
- Ship small, reviewable pull requests against the main site repository several times a week
- Translate Figma handoffs into responsive templates for employer profile pages
- Write the loading, empty and error states that most designs leave out
- Test every change in Chrome, Safari and on a low end Android handset before requesting review
- Take part in daily standup and the fortnightly frontend guild session at the Koramangala office
Requirements
- Final year student or recent graduate in any discipline, no professional experience needed
- Comfortable writing HTML and CSS by hand rather than relying entirely on a UI kit
- Working knowledge of JavaScript fundamentals such as DOM events, array methods and fetch
- Able to be in the Bengaluru office three days a week for the full six months
- A GitHub profile or portfolio containing at least one thing you built yourself
