Four people maintain the MailerMen admin console, the internal tool our operations staff use to approve employers, merge duplicate companies and refund credits. It is unglamorous software that somebody uses every single day. This two month internship sits inside that team.
Company records get duplicated constantly, because employers register twice under slightly different names. A merge tool exists, but it is dangerous: it copies rows without a transaction, so a failure halfway through leaves orphaned job listings behind. You will rebuild it properly with Entity Framework Core, wrapping the whole merge in a single transaction, writing an audit row for every field that changes, and adding a twenty four hour window in which operations can reverse a bad merge.
This internship is unpaid. In return you get a defined project you can describe confidently in an interview, code review from an engineer who has shipped .NET for eight years, and a written recommendation that talks about your actual work rather than restating your job title. You work remotely from anywhere in India with two hours of overlap each afternoon.
MailerMen runs a verified job board covering startup and product roles across twelve markets, and takes on interns across engineering, data, design and marketing to build it.
