We are seeking a Backend Developer at MailerMen (Surat). You will build reliable APIs, services and database-driven features, working closely with frontend developers and product teams to deliver secure, scalable backend systems. This role suits an engineer with about two years of experience who can own features end to end. The role is fully remote, with the Surat team as your home base for occasional meetups.
Department: Engineering - Backend Working hours: 10:00 AM–7:00 PM IST, Monday–Friday
Responsibilities
- Support background jobs, queues and scheduled tasks.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Implement authentication, authorization and application security practices.
- Design database schemas, queries and data-access logic.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs and backend services.
- Debug production issues and improve application performance.
- Write unit and integration tests for backend services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related technical field preferred.
- Good to have: Prisma, GraphQL, AWS, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis
