Role Summary

We are seeking a SAP Technical Business Analyst with strong SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain expertise to act as a bridge between SAP/ERP teams and Data & Analytics teams.

The ideal candidate should understand S/4HANA core data structures and CDS/VDM patterns, be able to translate business requirements into technical specifications, and ensure the accuracy of data flows from SAP into downstream reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with business stakeholders across supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics to elicit and document functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Translate functional requirements and SAP business logic into clear technical specifications for ERP and Data & Analytics teams.
• Design and validate data models and mappings from S/4HANA source tables, including:
• EKKO/EKPO
• MARA/MARC
• MATDOC
• AUFK/AFKO
• MDPS/MDEZ
• Develop and maintain SAP CDS Views and advise on VDM layering:
• Basic
• Composite/Cube
• Consumption
• Lead data validation activities to ensure reconciliation and accuracy between SAP source data and downstream outputs, including reports, data lakes, and BI layers.
• Support UAT cycles by preparing test cases, coordinating end users, managing defects, and ensuring successful sign-off.
• Collaborate with SAP functional/configuration teams, ABAP developers where required, and Data & Analytics engineers working with Azure, Databricks, and ETL.
• Produce and maintain clear documentation, including:
• Requirements
• Technical specifications
• Data lineage
• Test cases
• Present project status to stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement for data quality, reporting completeness, and integration patterns between ERP and analytics platforms.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of strong functional/technical knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain modules, particularly:
• MM
• PP
• SD
• WM/EWM
• Solid understanding of S/4HANA core data structures, including:
• EKKO/EKPO
• MARA/MARC
• MATDOC
• AUFK/AFKO
• MDPS/MDEZ
• Understanding of how S/4HANA data structures feed downstream reporting and analytics.
• Experience with SAP CDS Views and Virtual Data Model (VDM) layering:
• Basic
• Composite/Cube
• Consumption
• Proven technical Business Analyst skills with the ability to translate SAP business logic and functional requirements into technical specifications.
• Ability to bridge SAP/IT ERP teams with IT Data & Analytics and Business Data teams.
• Supply Chain experience is mandatory.
• Experience with data validation and ensuring accuracy between SAP source systems and downstream outputs.
• Experience supporting UAT cycles.
• Strong documentation and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Azure data platforms and Databricks or similar data lake/processing technologies.
• Experience with BI tools such as:
• Power BI
• Tableau
• Experience with Azure Synapse for analytics consumption.
• Exposure to ABAP or experience working closely with ABAP developers for extraction/transform tasks.
• SAP S/4HANA certification or Supply Chain functional certifications.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and the SAP Activate framework.
