Grading is the part of post that most self-taught editors skip, and you can usually tell within five seconds of watching their reel.
This placement is narrow on purpose. Over six months you work only on the finishing end of our pipeline: conform, colour, titles and delivery, on footage other people have already cut. That includes founder interviews shot on an FX3, event coverage from three mismatched cameras, and product films where the brand blue has to survive every export. You will build node trees in DaVinci Resolve, cut power windows, balance shots against a reference, and learn to grade for a phone screen rather than for the calibrated monitor in front of you.
You sit beside whoever is grading, watch the session, then redo it yourself and we compare. That comparison, repeated for six months, is the actual curriculum. You will also build and maintain our LUT library and a shot matching reference set for each shooting setup.
This is an unpaid apprenticeship, three days a week in our Gurugram suite and the rest remote, designed for someone who wants a colourist track rather than a generalist one. Flexible around final semester schedules if you tell us early.
MailerMen runs a verified job board covering startup and product roles across twelve markets, and takes on interns across engineering, data, design and marketing to build it.
