Two months, one brief. Make a jobs feed watchable on a phone at eleven at night.
MailerMen posts around sixty startup roles a week, and almost nobody reads a list. So we turn the interesting ones into fifteen to thirty second vertical videos: the role, the company's odd origin story, the one benefit that makes people screenshot it. You will build these mostly in CapCut, which is deliberate, because the speed of the tool is the whole point. Volume teaches pacing far faster than perfectionism does.
Week one you shadow existing edits and rebuild five of our best performing videos frame for frame, which is the quickest way to internalise a house style. After that you are producing on your own, roughly eight to twelve videos a week, working from a shared script doc and a stock and screen recording library. You will experiment with hook formats, on-screen text weight, trending audio and jump cut density, then look at what actually held attention.
This is an unpaid learning placement with a fixed two month window, flexible hours and no minimum daily login. If you want a dense, well credited portfolio of short-form work and honest feedback on it, this is a good use of your semester break.
MailerMen runs a verified job board covering startup and product roles across twelve markets, and takes on interns across engineering, data, design and marketing to build it.
