Most edits fail on the audio track long before anyone criticises the picture, and this two month placement exists to fix that end of our pipeline.
Our library holds around three hundred published videos with inconsistent loudness, music beds that drown speech, and transitions with no sonic support at all. You will work through the active ones and rebuild their sound: dialogue cleanup, a proper loudness target per platform, and music that ducks when someone talks. Alongside that you will design a small sonic identity for MailerMen, a logo sting, a notification sound for the app, three whoosh and impact variations for the motion kit, and a bed for the podcast intro.
Weeks one and two are audit and cleanup. Weeks three to six are original design work in Audition or Reaper, with source recording encouraged rather than tolerated. The final fortnight is documentation, so the next editor knows which preset to reach for and why. Everything you make goes into a template pack the whole team uses.
The placement is unpaid, remote across India and genuinely flexible, with around fifteen hours a week suiting most people. It suits someone who wants sound credits and a designed pack rather than a wage this summer.
MailerMen runs a verified job board covering startup and product roles across twelve markets, and takes on interns across engineering, data, design and marketing to build it.
