Roughly forty thousand people open MailerMen every week to look for a startup job, and most of them meet us through a fifteen second vertical video first.
Over three months at our Andheri office you will cut for Instagram and LinkedIn: hiring manager soundbites, salary breakdown explainers, and the weekly roles-closing-Friday round-up. Footage lands from two shooters and an iPhone rig, usually unlabelled, so part of the job is building a sane bin structure before you open a timeline. You will assemble in Premiere Pro, animate captions and lower thirds in After Effects, and deliver 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9 versions of the same story.
Every Monday the content pod reads retention graphs together. You will start to see why a viewer drops at second three, and what swapping the opening frame does to that curve. By around week six most interns own a full week of social output, with review limited to hooks and thumbnails.
Send a reel, even a rough one. College fests, wedding cuts and gaming montages all count here. We are looking at whether you can hold a rhythm and cut to a beat, not at how expensive your gear is.
MailerMen runs a verified job board covering startup and product roles across twelve markets, and takes on interns across engineering, data, design and marketing to build it.
