Post at a small company means one person owns a file from the moment the card comes out of the camera to the moment it goes live, and for six months that person is partly you.
We shoot a monthly hiring documentary series that follows one candidate through applications, interviews and their first week at a startup. Each episode runs around twelve minutes and eats about two terabytes of footage. You will handle offload and checksums, build the Resolve project, sync the lav and camera audio, cut the assembly, then take it through grade and delivery. Nothing here is a training exercise, the episodes publish.
Resolve is the tool because it lets you stay in one application from edit through Fairlight and Fusion to delivery. You will get real time on node-based grading, matching a Sony and a Canon in the same scene, and rescuing a lav that picked up a ceiling fan. Deliverables go out in three specs, and getting one wrong is how you learn why the spec sheet exists.
Hybrid, with the grading station and archive drives in our Baner office. Heavy conform days happen there, assembly and paper edits can happen anywhere.
MailerMen runs a verified job board covering startup and product roles across twelve markets, and takes on interns across engineering, data, design and marketing to build it.
